Walking with God intentionally every day!
That’s the plan for the year 2026 so help me God! Amen!
How do I plan to do this?
By treating every single day as a new day.
No more breaking my life into seasons. No more waiting for a new month. Or Autumn, or Spring. Or even a new year to start something, or be better.
No more waiting for ‘New’ seasons.
Instead I intend to start with every single day!
That’s going to be my God-inspired method for this year. With the help of the Holy Spirit of course.
What does this help me with? It helps me to show up every single day not necessarily neglecting the progress of the past, but not dwelling on it to the point that I forget to maximize my now.
Wake up!
It’s a New Day!
Heart Posture: What is the plan Lord? What will you have me do?
This allows Him to refer to the past on my behalf and draw from it significances in a way that only He knows how to.
So, I desire this new year, to wake up with the help of the Holy Spirit, every single day, and look to Jesus Christ!
Every single day I plan to wake up and turn to Him immediately.
In thoughts…
In pausing at various times during the day no matter how far gone I am in doing other things, to just allow God interrupt me. Allow Him tell me what He would have me do.
I was listening to WOFBEC, World Faith Believers Convention, an annual program where ministers from all over come to teach believers. It really helps to start us off spiritually. Giving us spiritual guidance for the new year. I was listening to Pastor Dolapo Lawal’s teaching - PASTOR DOLAPO LAWAL | 1ST SESSION | WOFBEC 2026 | THY KINGDOM COME | 3RD JAN 2026), and he spoke about looking like Jesus and the Holy Spirit immediately reminded me about the song I added at the end of this piece.
One of the songs God has blessed me with. He said, and I quote, “And you did not even know you were praying every time you desired to listen to this and sing it”. And it just hit me, having the desire to truly be like Jesus! Truly walk like Him! Treat people the way He would. Live like Him!
And it hit me again, because I listened to it a lot last year that He really helps us pray. The Holy Spirit teaches us how to pray and directs us on the prayers to pray! And He had been helping me pray that prayer back to back since 2025!
Living like Jesus is doing what the Father does, just like He did. John 14:31.
How does this tie together?
Every day intentionally with God is choosing to be like Jesus. To not make decisions without God’s input. To not start of the day without His presence enveloping me. To ensure that no matter how busy I am or how carried away I can get, it’s another ‘new day’ with God so I must spend time with Him. No more carrying over the previous day’s intimacy into ‘new days’
Every day, intentionally with God!

So, I’ll say this in conclusion. Matthew 6:33. Making it a daily mission! Because in seeking Him every day I also seek His heart and therefore align with the truth of the scripture.
Then come end of the year, I go to Him once again, and allow Him to grade me.
Not me grading myself.
Not others grading me.
Just Him.
How well did I do this year, Lord?
Did I truly walk step by step with You?
That’s my instruction for this year. No matter how yesterday went, today’s a new day, we go again and we start again. Even if we made progress yesterday, we treat today as if it’s the first and we go again! I ensure that I focus on the daily issues and tasks as they come. That’s how to develop the habits and systems that will carry me through my journey in this life!
So help me God!
Amen!!
I’ll come back with the Holy Spirit to see how far I was able to go with it and I make a promise to be honest about it, no matter how I did. The mission is not the end of 2026. It’s ETERNITY! And we have a long way to go!
God has brought me here! This far! And my prayer is I continually allow Him to lead me till eternity! To constantly be in alignment with His plans for my life!
