I was having a conversation with my mum and it kind of broached the topic of being in a certain space and surrounded by a certain calibre of people, and it got me thinking. Earlier this year, I heard of ‘Contact Without Contamination’, and I wonder, in our parents' generation, were they raised to avoid corruption or build themselves up so much in God, His word, Fellowship with the Brethren that they couldn’t be corrupted?
Because then it begs the question.
We are lights, right?
Where are we supposed to shine that light?
In a place already illuminated, or in darkness?
What’s the use of your light, if it cannot shine in the darkness?
What’s the use of your light, if it runs from darkness instead of confronting it?
I remember having a mental shift when I attended ‘Algorithm’ in January this year. The first version of it.
This is not to say it is easy warfare, but then again I am learning from a book, ‘You’ve Already Got It!’ by Andrew Wommack, that maybe it is easy warfare.
How?
Well, we do not fight for victory, but from victory.
Jesus has done the heavy lifting. He has literally paid the price we were supposed to pay in full. So there needs to be a conscious and intentional mind shift on our part.
What does that mean?
It means we need to have a receiver’s mindset. We need to submit to the renewing of our mind to God’s promises to us. Once our nature transformed from that of sin to righteousness by faith through the blood of Jesus, then we immediately stepped into our inheritance. Not just for eternity, not just for heaven, but here on earth too. That’s the battle we are fighting, a mental one, and I promise you the devil knows it.
So let’s say he has a bit of a head start, then we catch up! We catch up and we take off ahead of him.
Are we truly sure and confident of our new identity?
Do we know it’s even more than just righteousness itself and more that we are literally covered by Jesus’s blood?
That when we stand before God, man, demon, they see Jesus and not us?
Can we picture that?
Can we internalise it?
Can we receive it?
Because we have to be honest with ourselves. It’s hard enough we talk to a God that we cannot see, and possess inheritances that are not necessarily tangible in our physical realm, but cost more than silver and gold. It’s even harder to accept that as our reality and walk boldly, confidently, and dominating in it.
That’s where believers miss it and unbelievers get it. And they only operate in the physical dominion God gave all of man. Basically, they are operating on less than 50% and doing mighty things! And yet, there we are, believers. We operate in the full, complete, 100% upgraded version of dominion, and we have sooo little to show for it. Do we know we affect the spiritual realm too? It’s not just the other way around.
Now we can call the shots.
Now we can be a part of everything and cause a huge impact for the benefit of the kingdom of God here on earth.
We can go head to head and know we have already secured the top positions in Christ!
In other words, we can command a hurricane to turn around.
We can order an earthquake to settle.
A volcano can be prevented from erupting.
The sea can be still.
I use this examples because they scream impossible in the physical realm, and yet Jesus says greater works than He did shall we do!
But do we really accept this? Or do we allow our physical senses unconsciously take the reins when it comes to unfathomable things, as opposed to our spirit man that has the power of the Holy Spirit, the same power at work in Christ while here on earth, to really do the impossible, and I mean the impossible that has never been done before.
This brings me to dominating industries.
Do we really trust our new identities to dethrone principalities, powers, rulers in high places?
Do we really trust our Shepherd to prepare a table before us IN the presence of our enemies?
Do we really?
We have to be very honest with ourselves. Very very honest with ourselves.
Because then it shouldn’t be, “she shouldn’t be found in that company or in the midst of those people”.
But it should be “Holy Spirit as she speaks with them let her words be filled with light, planting seeds, illuminating hearts, convicting men to you and only you”
That’s EVANGELISM to me.
Contact Without Contamination.
We're fighting from victory, not for victory. Thank you
