Knowledge of the Word of God is different from the practice of the Word of God.
The reality of our faith is that it is not as easy as we think.
It is easy to know the truth, to understand the truth. The work lies in the practice of truth.
The perseverance.
The never ending pursuit.
The consistency.
The showing up even when we don’t feel it. Even when the world around us is crumbling. When our situation does not seem to align with the Promises He spoke, about us, over us.
He does that you know…
He gives us the full picture but none of the pieces to the puzzle.
Some of us, aka, me, He gives in bits and pieces, no full picture, parts of it though, but not everything…
But that’s the reality of the faith. There are blessings, miracles, signs and wonders, wondrous workings and impossibilities wrought.
But there are storms, seasons of life, growing pains, waiting that seems never ending, character building, altars to labour over, consecrations: fire before the rain, and more than anything, what matters the most, the salvation of souls, the sole purpose of the Gospel! The whole world, coming to the knowledge of who Christ is, and what He did for us! The heartbeat of the Father.
It’s not easy. It’s not impossible either. It’s not all ‘not so great times’. It’s not all great times either.
But you see…
I’ve got my mind made up…
And I won’t turn back…
Because I ‘plan’ to see my Jesus someday…
I press toward the mark of the high calling…
No turning back…
This race…
I am in it till the end.
I shall finish strong! Amen!
Well written Ruth
